I am not getting any younger, I admit. I am not used to wearing sunscreen and I think the effects of that are already showing. My skin is dry and I have a few wrinkles here and there. Just the other night, I noticed crow’s feet when I looked closely at the mirror. Ack! I might need to use an eye wrinkle cream soon because these signs of ageing are not going to slow down unless something is done about it. Do you have suggestions?
Chanel recently released a product that is manufactured entirely to protect the iPad.
This is called Chanel “Mallette en cuir noir” and can set you back for $1555USD. I am just not too convinced that this is a practical purchase, not that I can afford it. But I just cannot fathom the logic of buying a protector for something that cost $800USD only. If I had both, I think I’d be more worried about my Chanel than the iPad, LOL!
After the party my DD and I attended on Sunday, my friends started to talk about jeggings. These are pairs of pants that are skinny jeans that look like leggings. These are worn like leggings too. My friends say jeggings are more comfortable than skinny jeans because the materials used are usually the stretch type. Can you tell I have not tried them yet? I suppose I will have to take phentermine to slim down my thighs! I am also not a big fan of anything skinny.
Here are a few reminders should you decide to buy a pair for yourself:
You know your body type so make sure jeggings would fit your type. Don’t feel pressured if everyone else is wearing one if you know the style won’t fit you (my case actually, LOL!);
Forgive me for being kind of late in sharing this but since I haven’t been using Twitter via web (I’m mostly on Gravity, Echofon, Chromed Bird or mobile web) and I was out on errands the practically the whole day today, I missed this altogether until tonight. Everyone seems to talk about it already! Do check out this video:
I had a little down time yesterday so I decided to sit back and watch The A-Team on video. The movie is about four American soldiers and was based on a 1980’s hit television show. Among the team members was Charissa Sosa, a soldier played by actress Jessica Biel. Can I just say that Jessica has one of the best bodies in Hollywood? I envy her. I think we have the same body frame (wide shoulders, big bones but she’s obviously taller than me) but I can’t seem to achieve a body like hers unless I take a natural appetite suppressant to keep me from eating! LOL! Just look at this:
Maybe she works out a lot noh?
Anyway, about the movie, it was nice to see a woman form a team with men. The character just proves that women can also do what men do. So yay for girl power!
The other day, I saw a tweet from a fellow alumna about the launch of St. Scholastica Swatch watch. Now I am a sucker for all things limited/special/commemorative edition (that I wish I am uber rich to afford everything that catches my fancy, LOL!). Of course I got interested! So I asked the husband if he could check it out for me after his work yesterday. He reported that even if the watch was launched on Friday, the actual pieces are not on sale yet but will be available in October. They were, however, taking reservations and the husband left his name and contact numbers. I bugged him about how the watch looks like and he’s not too impressed because the face has no school name or anything SSC about it except for the color. I got curious and Googled an image:
If you ask me, I like it! Only 500 pieces will be sold and each is priced at P3500 (~$80USD). Swatch/Gift Gate will donate part of the proceeds to the St. Scholastica’s College, Manila’s Corazon C. Aquino Professorial Scholarship Seat. If you were in my shoes, will you buy one?
Did you know that car insurance rates vary among individuals, and that there are a lot of factors affecting a person’s premium? Insurance companies would consider your credit score (yes!), the car you drive, your age, driving and claims records and mileage, and even the community you live in. If you fall within the positive bracket, then expect a lower premium or you can ask for further reduction. With this in mind, never settle for the first quote that lands on your lap. It is always better to ask around first before deciding which insurance provider to choose.
It is a Long Champ Long Handle Limited Edition Great Wall of China in Brown. I asked a favor from a friend to buy it for me in Hong Kong. I am so happy with it that I used it immediately when we went to the mall last night. This is a reward for all the hard work I’ve done since the beginning of the year The husband paid for half the amount, and can you say I am a happy wife because of that?! I am eyeing another LC bag but that will have to wait until next year
It doesn’t take a genius to know that life insurance could be the most important investment a person can make. Who does not want a perfect life eh, with no accidents or illnesses? But we must also come to terms with the fact that we’ll never know what just might happen tomorrow. I think it is a wise move to start early so whatever happens, we are assured that the ones left behind are also covered.
I wonder if this dress will look good on me? I am not usually comfortable wearing dresses but this one really caught my attention while I was browsing clothes in the Nordstrom website. The print is so vibrant and happy; I like it so much!
This number by Eliza J is a pleated stretch cotton dress in a floral print. The waistline is also with a pleated that releases into the full, swingy skirt.
