Verizon’s Photoshop Mix-up?

Nov

verizon_mixup

I saw this in Engadget, that while Motorola and Droid X are marquee devices for Verizon, Motorola will probably be not too happy when they see this ad. I could not tell what is wrong with it as I am not an iPhone nor Android phone user (stuck with Symbian phone for now LOL!). But they say that the map on the phone image which is obviously Photoshopped, is an iPhone version of the Google Maps. Can you confirm this? Well if this is true, then Verizon needs to fix it as soon as possible.

Could be My Resolution Too

Nov

I am never good with resolutions because I always end up breaking them. But since 2011 is just around the corner, I can’t help but think of things that I need to improve on next year. My friends are talking about taking care of the skin and maybe I should also take that cue. I am not getting any younger, I’ve already got lines and dark circles (ack!). Surely skin care is something that I should prioritize next year, right? I guess it’s also time to visit my dermatologist soon too! I really hope I can keep this little promise to myself!

Nov

fendi-gold-bag

Can you believe this bag? I know this is so early 2010, but I saw it again in a friend’s blog and still think it’s ridiculous :D Anyway this is a limited edition24 Carat Gold Python Skin Bag and is considered to be the most expensive purse from Fendi. It was made available in Crystals in Las Vegas for a whooping $36,000.

Kindle 2 will be on Sale!

Nov

Earlier this week, Amazon announced in their Facebook page that they will offer the second generation Kindle for on $89. This rare opportunity will happen at the online store for a few hours and with limited stocks on Black Friday. This announcement threw me off the loop for a few minutes. It is not a secret that I have been wishing for an e-book reader but I am waiting for the opportunity to buy an iPad. So this announcement came out, I seriously thought I would order through a friend. But my will to save for upcoming trips knocked sense into my head.

Cyber Monday

Nov

I know a lot of people really consider Black Friday as the biggest sale event of the year. They actually camp out on the sidewalk after Thanksgiving Dinner to wait for stores to open. I admire the energy of these people! For others like me who would rather sleep in and stay home, we wait for Cyber Monday and just shop online in the comforts of our home! This is perhaps less exciting but is more practical, I think! :D

My Red Cabas is Here

Nov

After all those hassles and delays, my Red Cabas finally arrived at my doorstep (more like at the guard’s) yesterday afternoon.

LCCabas_Red

I think I already mentioned here my desire to have this particular bag. Well, I could not delay gratification any further that even if I said I will just buy next year, I ordered for one in October! The shipment got held at the customs and that is another story.

Are You Ready for Black Friday?

Nov

I am sure the shopaholic in you is awake. Black Friday is just about the biggest sale event of the year. My best friend’s husband even quips that the only time she allows herself/is allowed to lose some sleep is at dawn after Thanksgiving! Otherwise, she would be really cranky, LOL!

We have a trip before the end of the year and two other trips at the start of 2011 so I am keeping my hands off this year’s sale. I just listen to my friends who are planning to splurge on gadgets like laptops, xbox 360, and PSP. Others plan to buy stuff for their homes.

How about you, is your list ready?

Garage Sale 2010

Nov

I’ve never put our old stuff up for sale until last weekend. We’d usually just give them away so it was a first for us. Our community here agreed to open a garage sale one weekend. We decided to near the target date that I was checking our stuff THE DAY BEFORE the event. I was able to gather a few items, mostly my shoes. On the day itself, we found out tables will not be provided that I did not want to sell anymore. But seeing the crowd, waiting for new stuff, we brought out our items and 90% were sold in less than 20 minutes! I needed all the energy, thanks to my vitamins, in that last 24 hours! I am not sure if I want to do that again, but it was fun seeing our stuff go even for a minimum price. Truly, a man’s junk is another’s treasure! :)

Geometric Prints (Fall 2010)

Nov

geometricprints

Geometric prints are popular these days. If there are repetitive prints, color blocking, shapes or angles, then that’s considered geometric. It is really a trend in collections. These prints can enhance and flatter figures if the shapes are placed correctly. It wouldn’t hurt to try out stuff first and see what works. Some tips when wearing geo prints: add a pop of color in shoes or bags if the dress is in black and white; too many patterns will looks messy so stick with plain pants or skirts for printed tops; and wear same or similar colored accessories for colorful patterns.
