My mother was here yesterday to make me print and sign documents. Fixing the documents in the file folder, she asked me if I have a 3-hole puncher. I answered in the negative (I should get one!) but I will check whether my ring binder can do that. So I brought out my binder and she exclaimed: “You have a binder?!” In fact I do. I bought one last year because I have this nagging feeling to own office tools that I think I would need. Yes, I have invested on cutters, printers, sealers, etc. I still have a long-list to go (the purchase was a paper shredder which turned out to be defective and I could not return it anymore, bummer) but the priority now is to get one of those two step stools, or at least one similar to the image below:

Since moving to the new house, I was given a specific cabinet to keep my office and art stuff in. But my cabinet is placed too high, thus the need to buy a step stool soon. Have to canvass for one.

The waiting is ending soon as it was reported that the iPad second generation will be launched on March 2. A friend actually sent this image above to me because she knew I was waiting for this since last year. Not that I already have the budget to buy one, but I am still hoping I can buy as soon as iPad 2 comes to the stores.
Some analysts are expecting that iPad2 will be thinner than the first one and will have an improved display feature. A front-facing camera plus Face Time video chat support are also expected. You bet I will be waiting for March 2 for that announcement!

I like reading news about fashion better than reading about fat burners, because the latter reminds me so much that I need to lose weight, LOL! Anyway, reading about one article, I quite agree with Anna Wintour that fashion needs to be fun, less uptight. The US Vogue Editor is in London right now and she noticed the sense of humor in British designers when they create clothes. Wintour said,
‘I think that’s what’s so great about British fashion, they always have a sense of humour and that’s something we could afford to have a little bit more of here in the States.’
British fashion, she adds, is not only fun but affordable too. She gave Topshop as an example. I will have to agree, for how can people afford to be fashionable when the items are expensive, right? Fun + Affordable = Prefect Fashion

For the month of February, Tory Burch fans in Manila can get a special gift if they spend at least P15,000 worth of regular priced items. Here is the poster for that promo:
Receive a Tory Burch notebook set with your purchase made from February 13 to 28, 2011. I checked the website I am drooling over this Reva Metallic Flat! No shopping for me though, at least for the expensive designer ones, as we are saving and I only plan to make one big purchase this year. ;p

Perhaps it was because of the numerous hydroxycut reviews that I have read and actually losing weight after cutting down on rice, soda and iced tea that I got inspired to shop for clothes to wear for our upcoming beach trip. For the longest time, I was delaying this trip to the shops because I am not that confident about my body. But since I lost a few pounds and I cannot delay it any further, I went to purchase cover-ups, summer dresses, board shorts and swimsuits. Oh boy, I went home with a bag full of loots! I found some really nice swimsuits and I am happy to say that I saw and bought one that is similar to what I was eyeing:
I got the thumbs up from the husband when I tried it on. I can’t wait to wear it in Boracay!

If there is one thing that bothers me about the new place, it is the very low WiFi signal inside our room. When I work with my laptop, it seems normal but when I go online using my phone, I get disconnected every so often (read: every two minutes of less). It is important for me to be able to connect properly with my phone because the first thing I do in the morning is check my emails with it. And when I lay down to sleep, while I wait for the sandman, I use it to browse my public Twitter for blogging inspiration and ideas. The husband noticed it too, because his connection in his desktop is slow too.
It seems we need to purchase a signal repeater to address this issue. A WiFi repeater is a device that is stand alone and can widen the WiFi reach. We figured that if we place one on the second floor hallway, the connection in our room will get better. I read that the connection of the other users will not be affected as long as there aren’t too many repeaters connected to the router. Since we only need to extend the signal to our room, I guess it would be fine to get a repeater, eh?
I will make an update once we are able to accomplish this.

It is now safe to say that we are settled in the new house. The last two weeks was so hectic. The last night of our stay in the old apartment, we were up late still packing the little stuff, mostly the dining utensils and small items like our vitamins and the brother’s protein powder. It is amazing how we were able to fix the house in less than three days (we had guests over on our days three and four here, so we were in a hurry to put everything in place) when we packed and cleaned the old house for almost two weeks! I guess that’s what adrenaline does, huh? Now I am trying to get back the groove, get back on the routine

Giddy is an understatement. I was so ecstatic to have seen the trailer of Something Borrowed which will be shown in cinemas in May. It is based on the book written by Emily Giffin. I like it when they turn books into movies because then, I get to visualize more. Sometimes they change the story, sometimes they stick to it, so I always prefer to read the book and watch the movie to see for myself.
Anyway, I really hope the husband will go watch it with me when it starts showing
Here’s the trailer:

I was exchanging emails with a friend this morning, planning for a get-together when I realized that our trip to the beach is just less than three weeks away! I am not sure if I need to buy cheap tanning lotion but I really need swimsuits and cover-ups (and sunblock too!). It’s crunch time baby, and my trips outside of the home is fairly limited. Maybe I should go with the husband later tonight if he is playing so i can go check some nice swimsuits. I found these swimsuit samples from the old catalogue of Figleaves. I really hope I can find similar ones because I think these fit my body type, at least the the styles on the sides.

Found this really funny list and images (from flavorewire.com) of underwear that you probably want to NOT wear if you plan to have some sexy time, LOL! I am not posting the entire list, just the ones that I found really amusing
1. A granny cut will kill the mood, much more if you wear one with a portrait of Ann Boleyn who beheaded her husband!
2. Corny “Octo”pants, go figure :p
3. Might work as “Something Blue” but kinda awkward on wedding night ;p
.
4. Unsexy. I mean totally. Breakfast anyone?
