We extended assistance to DH’s friend and we used my Paypal to purchase something for the friend’s car. Well, I’m not exactly sure what it was (rennen wheels or rims, or another brand, not so sure) but since DH trusts him, we allowed this transaction
Anyway, the seller declined the payment from my account as they were not able to verify it (maybe they’re just cautious as there are a lot of fraudulent transactions online). Oh well, not much luck there eh? Of course, I will just refund the money to the friend’s PP account but I cannot do that unless PP is able to return the floating amount back into my account. I wonder how long it takes for things like this to get processed? I heard the seller already cancelled the transaction so I guess the next step is to just wait for the PP peeps to credit the amount back.

Even if Borders closed down, Kobo still launched their next edition ereader at Best Buy. This time, the gadget is touch screen! The price is relatively competitive at USD130 and comes with a Pearl E Ink touchscreen display technology which means glare is eliminated. There are seven different fonts and users are able to upload more fonts to suit preferences. Colors are black, silver, lilac, or blue. The Kobo Touch supports Epub, PDF, Mobi, TXT, HTML, RTF, along with CBZ and CBR comic book formats.

Thanks for the heads up Mich! To all my pregnant friends (who need not worry about fat burners and diet pills because gaining weight is expected of course), and fashionistas on a budget, you might want to check out the Gingersnaps and Just G Warehouse Sale. Running until September 25, this happens only at Warehouse 19, Armal Compound 2, M. Eusebio Ave., San Miguel, Pasig City. Arm yourself with cash (as they are cash-basis only), and raid from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday (except on holidays). Visit their website to get an idea of what’s in store for you.

We are having a long weekend this side of the world. Both Monday and Tuesday are special holidays so no work for most people. This weekend will surely be busy for most stores, I bet their barcode scanners will have to work overtime. I will try to highlight some sale events here in case you are up to spending money ;p Try.
It will be different for us though. The husband needs to work today and tomorrow. Only then can we enjoy the long weekend. And guess what, he’s off from work until Sunday next week! Wooo! I really wish we could drive or fly away for a short vacay but we have money and time limitations (errands, errands!) Anyway, we will try to make this coming week extra special in other ways we know how. Maybe a little malling and eating out would suffice eh?
Have a great weekend peeps!

We had a busy weekend. Saturday, we accompanied DH to Greenhills because he needed new pairs of pants. I did a little shopping for myself too (yay!) and the little one did not go home empty handed neither. It was also lucky that we were there just in time for the anticipated mass.
Early Sunday morning was spent in the supermarket for our weekly pantry and freezer supply. We got home and not long after, my mom’s siblings arrived already. We are preparing for my grandfather’s birthday celebration. The boys formed a band just for the event, while we girls practiced a dance number. You bet all audio video cables in the house were busy all day too.
They left after dinner, just imagine how long we were entertaining and feeding them, LOL! But it was a fun day, for sure. I always say that I cherish days like it
I can imagine just how busy we will still be until next weekend, or until the party is over. I am not sure if I will be able to spend online hours until then.

Reading tweets this morning I was alerted about the Avenida collection, a collaboration between Team Manila and Anthology. Look! These are limited edition Shanghai canvass flats that are said to be easy both on the eyes and feet.

The Avenida Collection will hit stores this week and will retail for Php1695. Visit Team Manila stores in Powerplant Mall Rockwell, SM Mall of Asia and TriNoMa.
